I use GIMP , it is free to use and lets you make good sigs ( if you want a tut using GIMP you can search one on youtube)

Basically you use Photoshop (I use it) or GIMP or some kind of software .

I have a tip, if you don't have those special softwares you can just use paint like me and use microsoft word's word arts, shapes and you can format them with patterns, two colors, presets, pictures, it was awesome ^^ and just copy and paste them in paint.

I have my secret program.It costs 300 $ and you get 10 diffrent programs for 10 diffrent things in it.You can do whatever you want.It's used in big companys which design logos and stuff...It's awsome.
