Icon5 Is Saying "Thanks" Spamming?
When you post a question and someone answers it, is it spamming to make a post after it to say thanks? It feels kinda rude not to reply to it afterward, cause they don't know if you saw their post or not. Could I edit my question post and say thanks in there?

Well the rules say 1-2 words is considered spam. So just saying "thanks" would be spam. Saying like "thanks a lot *user name* i really needed/like that help/sig/avi etc"

Or you could just thank them on their user profile[click the users name go go to it, then leave a vm]

Yes, it is considers as spam if you just post the word 'thanks'. If you say something like 'Thanks a lot. Its awesome!' then it is not spam. I would just give the user a compliment for what they did.

Yes, all of you are absolutely correct! 1-2 words is infact spamming! It has to be 3 words or more and has to be ON TOPIC!! I'm sure she is glad for all the help!

Yes you can. A compliment is great. and Sonic its 1-2 words is spam not 3.

I do that sometimes and forget about spam. somebody gives me info for a thread to put on it and i say "thanks" or "how?"
