Money: 0 | Most Windows 7 users may have already known that it comes with a useful program called Windows 7 DVD Maker. It's a really kind of practical burning tool for making DVD. It will certainly be your choice if you just want to get your home videos burned to DVD without editing videos. If this is the case, Windows 7 DVD Maker will be a helping hand. What if you'd like to edit video and burn DVD like a professional? Well, I suppose this article will work this question out. We are going to make a full comparison between Windows 7 DVD Maker and professional DVD Creator out there and we will do it in four parts. 1. Video Input Windows 7 DVD Maker: It supports video input of which only comes from Microsoft itself, formats like WMV, ASF, MPG, etc. Additionally, it supports adding pictures which will automatically come into Slideshow, which is a bonus than other DVD burner software. Aimersoft DVD Creator: With its professional features, DVD Creator supports almost all kinds of video formats, such as AVI, MP4, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, RM, MOV, RMVB, DAT and even HD video formats: MTS, M2TS, TS, HD MKV, HD WMV, and HD MOV. With more widely accepted and used of HD video formats, this function will definitely be a highlight to DVD Creator's value. But the shortcoming is that it doesn't support adding pictures. ![]() ![]() 2. Video Edit The function of video editing is an important one to achieve a better visual effect. Windows 7 DVD Maker: It doesn't support any kind of video editing function. However, if you do have a need to edit video, you may go and download Windows 7 Movie Maker, which could meet your request. Aimersoft DVD Creator: While professional DVD Creator provides powerful video editing functions. For example, crop video files to remove the black edge, trim video length to capture your favorite clips, adjust brightness, contrast and saturation of videos to a better effect, add watermark, etc. This powerful function may well explain the popularity of DVD Creator. ![]() ![]() 3. Customize DVD Menu How do you create custom DVD menu templates? Well, you can do plenty of things with DVD menu editing function provided by most DVD burner software. Windows 7 DVD Maker: The most amazing part of Windows 7 DVD Maker which I assume will certainly be the 20+ animated menu templates, which most DVD burners don't provide. Also, it provides 10+ frame templates. Aimersoft DVD Creator: By contrast, the professional DVD Creator provides around 30+ menu templates but with static effect. Though these templates are classic, they are a little bit old-fashioned. Also, they provide 60+ transition effects. 4. DVD burning and output option The output option means what medium or where you can burn video to. This affects your decision while people's need may vary. Windows 7 DVD Maker: Well, it supports burning video to DVD disc only. So you need to check your PC to make sure that you have DVD driver available. Aimersoft DVD Creator: This is also where professional DVD Creator shines. It provides multiple options, you can burn video to DVD disc, DVD folder and ISO file. So you may select the specific medium to get your video burned. Conclusion: If you want to have your video burned to DVD without bothering, then Windows 7 is for you. But when you want to have more video editing functions and you want to have more video output options, then professional DVD Creator is the software to try. Hopefully, you will be in-the-know after learning this article. After all, it's worth the time to learn the difference between Windows 7 DVD Maker and professional DVD Creator. And if you know exactly what you need, you will make the right decision in no time. source: Comparison: Windows 7 DVD Maker & Aimersoft DVD Creator

my opinion is, only with windows 7 DVD Maker, i can not burn MKV formats, and can not make my DVD professional which i want, if you do not have formats problem, and just want to burn the videos to the dvd( remove the DRM protection), then windows 7 DVD Maker is a good choice for you!
