Spamming

What is spamming?
Spamming is something that annoys other people. For example, you keep on sending messages or you just send short messages. Sometimes repeating what you just said.

Why spam?
Sometimes, people just don't know what spamming is, or don't know the rules. Just like JustMe24, he's young and hasn't read the rules yet. Sometimes people are just bored and sometimes they're bots. Sometimes they are desperate and want a lot of credits and posts.

How do we know if we are spamming?

• Spamming is double-posting or triple-posting, etc. You should make sure you use edit instead of posting a million times.
  
• 1-2 words are also spamming, so make sure you have more than 2 words in your post/reply.
• Going off topic is usual. To stop Going off topic, make sure you read the main thread and make sure your post is related to the thread.

Where is the EDIT button?
It is found near Quote, Multi and Quick... It is the first button to be seen in the bottom of a post or reply...*


How can we stop spamming?
*Written on the "HOW DO WE KNOW IF WE ARE SPAMMING?"*. You have to read your main reply to know and make sure.
-Make sure you are in the correct thread you want to reply at... Specially if you want to reply to a CPC forum game... You may click the wrong game and accidentally go off topic!
-Also make sure you're on the correct forum!

What should I do if someone is spamming?
Just report them, after reporting, just continue what you are doing. Don't use the "THAT'S A SPAM! REPORTED!" line when you are posting a reply, because you may just doing that as an excuse just to earn credits...

What is double-posting?
Double-posting is posting 2 or more times in a ROW. An example of double-posting is:
User1: *thread*
User2: Nice thread, User1!
User2: I forgot to say I rated it 5/5! <---Don't do that please

And many users are mistaken for thinking that this is double-posting:
User1: *thread*
User2: Cool thread User1!
User1: Thanks User2!!! *message*
User3: You double-posted User1!!! <------ Nope, that was not double-posting
For all new people out there, that wasn't double-posting. It's just posting. Double-Posting is posting in a ROW.

~~Also, some people delete their posts after someone has posted, and some may cause double posting, example:

User1: *thread*
User2: That's really nice
User1: Thanks a lot!!!
User3: Wow nice one!
User1: Thank you very much!

If we remove the red one [ in example as User3 has deleted it ]

User1: *thread*
User2: That's really nice
User1: Thanks a lot!!!
User1: Thank you very much!

looks like User1 double-posted, right? So, if you are gonna delete a post, take caution that others may look like double-posting...

Bots
What are bots?
Bots are not people. They are usually just computers, they are like viruses but they are different, they are advertisers of certain sites.

How do we know if it's a bot?
Bots are usually advertising and are very annoying. Sometimes their names are very rare or weird. Like "Reflowchina" or some letters that you wouldn't understand, such as 30b3cx0m6 [ example only ]. (Reflowchina is a bot...)
-Sometimes they even use different languages!

What should I do if I see a bot?
Report them, just like what you do to spammers. So after reporting, just continue. And don't use the "REPORTED" line again plz

Reporting

How do I report someone?
There is a button for reporting a certain person. It is near the "Online/Offline status"



What or who should I report?
Spammers, bots and all those other rule breakers. Make sure you have a good reason to report that person, if that person is new, and you are certain that it is not a bot, just visit him/her and greet her/him, tell him/her what he/she needs to know, just let him/her off with a warning xP

Credit Excuses:

Using "That's a spam! Reported!" or "Request to be locked" is something like a credit excuse... You may write "Close" meaning "Topic closed" or use this emoticon: ... It's not like a credit excuse... As it is just one word and/or an emoticon... Or just tell a mod about it! Not posting is much better!

~~~ Also, if someone has already answered at a Thread at the Noob Forum, please do NOT repeat it, it may be repeated all over again, only post again if you have more important details to add. Example of a Noob Forum Thread's reply gone wild is:

User1: Help me, my sig is not showing up!
User2: Oh, you have to get the emperor badge *Admin's thread*. It's updated
User3: You have to get at least 498 non-spam posts, or 500. Then you get it back to show up
User4: You should get the Emperor badge at 500 posts, then you can get your sig to show up now
User5: Well, you need at least 498 non-spam posts, non-spam because if it is spam, you may lose them again at a Spam clean-up. Then you get access to the Emperor Igloo Forum. Then you get to have your signature back
User6: This has been answered already, Request to be locked
User7: Yeah it's already answered, Request to be locked
Mod: Locked, it's been answered.
Red: bad/considered spam

Please, if it is already answered with full details, do not reply anymore.

Bumping topics
Please don't bump/reply to topics that are already old....That topic may not be locked but it's closed, right? It's just like a credit excuse... Bumping topics is like an excuse to earn credits too! And don't use the REQUEST TO BE LOCKED on old topics.... And you know the reason why, right???

Bumping topics happens when you post at an old thread that has received its last reply about a month earlier.

Has anyone seen The GMC (game maker comunity, click here!)? They have a 'Legal Bump' system. Because you can't post the same topic twice, and you can't bump on CPC, your topics will get lost, and if its an important one, you wouldn't want it to NEVER be seen. The GMC's system is simple:

After 2 days of no replys, you may bump a topic, but with information on the subject (E.g Not: LEGAL bump....., or: Bumped!).

This is very good in my opinion! Anyone else think it is????

On CpC, if a topic has not been replied to for 1 month, or more, you are not allowed to reply anymore, instead, you should ask a moderator to repost...
