GIMP tutorial: Border Text.

I was trying a glowing light tutorial but i messed up and ended up with this:

So I thought if i ever use it on my sig I'll get a bill users saying "How'd ya do dat!" so i made this tut.

Step 1.
Make a new image. any size. If its a sig make sure it follows the rules.

Step 2
using the text tool write your text. I used "hai"

Step 3
Go to Layer>Transparency>Alpha to section.

Step 4
Go to the gradient tool. Use any gradient ya like. Gradient it how ya like. ( I did top to bottom (: )

step 5
Go to Select>Grow

step 6
grow by 3 pixels

Step 7
On the layers panel (ctrl L to get it up) Click duplicate layer.

Step 8
Fill this duplicate layer with black

Step 9
on the layers panel move the origional layer up one. It should look like the text has a border.

step 10
duplicate that layer AGAIN

Step 11
by using the move tool Move the layer downward a little bit

Step 12
Use the flip tool to flip it vertically.

Step 13
Adjust so it looks like that layer is a reflection.
