The Basics
1.Screen Recorder
This is the easiest part (I think) of making a Club Penguin movie. There are many of screen recorders to choose from. Here is a good one.
CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software (Reccommended) This is probably the best free screen recorder out there. It has just about everything you need to record you video. This is the one I am currently using.
If you want to find another screen recorder, just go to Google and search screen recorders.

2.Video Uploading Sites
The best way to let others see your Club Penguin movie is to upload it to a video uploading site.
The best site is YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.. This is what many CP movie makers use. That is also the site that I use. (You must join the site to upload your videos)
You could also upload your movies to sites such as Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket. It may be quicker to upload the videos there, but it is not the best place for others to find without you telling them about it.

3.Writing a Story
There are many ways to write your story. The main thing about writing a CP movie, is to take your time on it. That way, you can think of many ideas, characters, and settings for your movie.
-You can write your movie storyline down a sheet of paper.(Best Method)
-You can also type it on the computer.(Best Method)
-You could also think about your story for the movie while you are recording the movie.(Worst Method)
If you need certain characters for your movie you could just do it yourself.
You could also try to get others to take part in your movie by posting a thread about it with all the information in the Movie Meet-Ups section.

Making the Video (The following is used with Camstudio)
1.Choosing a Video Region
This is an important part that many people do not quite get on their first recording. A video region, is the area on your screen that you will record. Most screen recorders are just a click and drag to the length and width of the video region. You can access to making your video region by clicking on the region section or by clicking options, then clicking the region section.

2.Setting Key Shortcuts
Key Shortcuts just makes it a lot easier to make and record you videos faster. Key Shortcuts are just certain single buttons that you press that can stop, pause, and record your video to what ever keys you use. To set you key shortcuts, just go to options, then key shortcuts.

3.Saving the Video
Saving the video that you recorded is quite simple. One you clicked the quit record button, or the key shortcut button that stops the video, a small box should come up for you to type in the name of the video file. After you typed in the video file name, just save it.

Importing for the Video
1.Importing the video
Importing the video is quite easy, just as long as you saved the video file correctly. Just click "Import Video" on the right side of the screen of Windows Movie Maker. It should bring up the list of movies that you recorded, and save by name. Just click the video that you want and it will be put on the collections list.
2.Importing Pictures
This is also quite easy to do. Just save a picture that you want to your pictures, and then click "Import Pictures". It will bring up the document of all your pictures. Just click the pictures that you want, and it will be added to the collections list.
3.Importing Audio or Music
Okay. This is the part that many people have problems with. To import an music or audio file, the best way to do it, is to save the file to your documents. That way, as soon as you click "Import Audio or Music", it will bring up your documents and the music and/or audio file should be there if you saved them correctly.

Putting the Video Together
1.Saving the Video
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS PART. This is what many people may mess up on. I messed up on this myself at first. When you are finished and want to save your video, and be able to upload to a site such as youtube. You have to click "SAVE MOVIE FILE". It will tell you what to do from there. Also, make sure you save to your computer.
2.Uploading the Video
Now like I had said earlier before, the best site you upload your CP video is too YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.. Remember you have to join to do this.(Which is free!)
Click upload. It will tell you to name your movie, description, tags and etc. When you get to the uploading screen, click browse. If you save the movie file correctly, it will be some where in the document page that came up. Depending on the connection, and the length of the video will depend on how long it will take to upload. After it is upload, you will just have to fill in a small bit more information about your video.
NOTE:Your video may be uploaded, but it may be awhile before it is live and available to view on YouTube.
