Yes it is. Just like Chewit said. In fact, I was once banned for a few days and I turned a new leaf and stayed very active, and was picked as the new moderator. I believe that exclubtoby was once banned as well. It is completely possible. And like KG said, "You dont have to be a mod to make a difference"
