Regard me as a sOUNDING bOARD. that means what I say isn't as important as whether or not it rings true.

Random responses.

Half, half, half, each time smaller. Some people say that indicates experience with poverty in a past life. Have some, save some.

the towel thing: your first experiences are the "loudest" emotionally. Probably mom lovingly prevented soap in your eyes by always putting a towel over your head. Then one day the phone rang or something, she startled, and your infant mind thought it was your fault, so you developed a need to have a towel. Some people NEVER GET Over things like that: MONK, extreme example, gets yuks.
you did!
I do that salad thing: I have a lot of picky food things. My feeling? Just the right ratio of salad to dressing must be strived for at all times.

Rocking. Many thoughts. !. Mothers rock their sons. Older (20-30) people who love each other sway when they hug. Grandmas love rocking chairs. Rocking feels good. People with severe- that's SEVERE emotional issues, (usually from parents who don't show love) often rock to heaL themselves since no one else has. If you can stop, which you did, it is proof that YOU are in control, so stop worrying. Sometimes teachers look for things to be wrong to make their lives more exciting or something. She had in mind things like Autisim. which in the extreme form involves head-banging. OK, some extreme autistics bang their head, Does it follow that head-bangers all become severely autistic? Of couse not, it's LOL.

Rocking, swinging, amusement park ride feelings. All on a scale of 1 to whatever. If you get stuck somewhere and can't change that can be a problem. Feeling different things and being able to talk about them id just human. Hey, that can be neat!
People say I'm very wise and mature for my age. I tend to notice things others don't and spend a lot of time thinking and reflecting.

Poverty in a past life? I actually do kinda believe in past lives so that doesn't sound like a load of nonsense like it would to some people. I do remember I once took a small past life quiz where you would put in your birthday and it would tell you what it thought. It thought I was a female in the 1500s in Thailand and that I was either a sailor or a shoe maker. I actually do have a fear of water and like my mom I can't swim. However, that isn't too significant since I tend to be a bit of a paranoid person but my friend looked up my first name and noticed something about my name having to do with the Puritans that came to a certain place by ship. She found that kinda surprising since the quiz I took mentioned Thailand and also sailing. Poverty in a past life, maybe. If I had a past life, I want to learn a lot about it. I've already looked up a few different things up it on Google.

The towel thing? Not to sure about it but maybe. When I see the thing about it being the baby's fault it reminds me of how my dad, from a very young age, would get mad at me for nothing and it automatically leaved me feeling shocked and like a failure and wondering what I did wrong. Now, I avoid it in any way that I can. He's got an explosive temper and that was mostly the reason why mom got divorced from him when I was six.

With the rocking thing, I just needed movement. It possibly being healing, yes, maybe. My teacher thought of emotional issues and I see she wasn't too far off. From the day before February to a few months ago when school started, I experienced a lot of insecurity, jealousy, anger, and sadness. I never told anyone except my friend since first grade and all my online friends but it disappeared when school started when I finally got out of my shy stage and was able to talk to people and finally felt content for the first real time since the day before February. My parents never knew of this.

Okay, well I have a few more habits.

Like one person said, I scratch myself in public too. I don't care where, I'll scratch wherever it is.

Another habit... If I'm outside and it gets windy or very cloudy, I tend to think of tornadoes automatically and get scared even though tornadoes can't strike West Virginia where we have the high mountains. So... If it's windy, I MUST be at a computer and I MUST be inside with someone else inside with me.

I also have the habit of eating a lot. I just like to eat. ^-^ I'm not going to get fat or anything and I could use a little more weight since I'm at about 80 pounds.

I also have the habit of looking around a lot. When I'm in my bathroom and about to take a shower, I can't turn around for one second to turn on the water because it just feels like I'm being watched. If I do turn it on I do it quickly and automatically and then turn around quickly to see if anyone is there. I believe in ghosts and demons as most of you know so that's why.

I just thought of another one of my habits. I always cut my piece of toast in half and then hold each half into a half so its like a quarter....Dunno why I do it.

I like tapping my foot or finger. When I was smaller, I used to rock when we were sitting on the rug reading a book. I also like leaning when I'm sitting on a chair. I've ruined one so far, so you could call it a bad habit ._.

Wise is good but people expecting you to be wise all the time can really get boring. I keep a sense of humor about it. I'd rather have fun than be wise, if it came down to just picking one quality. But I LOVE thinking and reflecting, that's why I find your posts so interesting.

I've already looked up a few different things up it on Google.

I don't know whether or not I actually BELIEVE in past lives but I find it's interesting to think about things like that. "if past lives WERE true, I wonder how I would have ended up the way I am" I use it to consider how I am. I am very independent and strong minded and I believe what I believe, not necessarily what I have been told to believe.

I've personally never found anyone who could tell me for sure about my past lives, so I've put and faith'/belief in that "on hold". I think about it sometimes but I don't go around telling people that past lives are a fact or anything. Once I went to a "past life therapist" who supposedly hypnotised me ( I couldn't tell any difference) but then all he did was say what do you see? I guess I was supposed to be seeing images in my head but i didn't. "Well," he said "I see them". I guess that was nice for him but it didn't make any significant impact or change in my life.

Now when something is true for you you can really FEEL it. I was obviously off the mark a little, it's to be expected when you are first getting to know someone, but it made you remember something else about yourself, that's insight, and I love that feeling of knowing something about how you tick inside when it happens to me. I'm sorry you had to go thru that with your dad, but we all have bad things happen to us that we have to come to terms with and go on after. Not doing this will cause the emotional problems you seem to fear might be true in your case.

When a parent explosively gets angry at a child the child snaps closed like a turtle popping into its shell. Who WOULDN"t???? But a person who only sees the turtle in the shell and not the event that caused the turtle to PROTECT ITSELF may label you (and I KNOW you HATE labels!) as a CHRONIC TURTLE>> someone who has a problem coming out of their shell. That's their lack of understanding, NOT your emotional problem. Be careful of accepting other people's labels.

ith the rocking thing, I just needed movement.

Insecurity. Universal. Jealousy. , anger, sadness. Everyone feels these things or we wouldn't have these words to communicate them to others. but the difference between an aware person and a person with potential problems is that often they will say they are NOT insecure, jealousy, angry, etc. We all know people like this, and you in particular I know have seen, for instance, people so angry or jealous that it seems like all they do is strike out at people. Now THAT'S a problem in my book.

AWARENESS is half the battle. The other half is NOT ACCEPTING THE LABEL. If you want to spend your life thinking you have emotional problems you will find all sorts of people willing to find all ways to fit you into those categories. I believe we all have traumas that stunted our originally WHOLE and GOOD selves. I also believe we can at any point choose to analyze consider and grow past them.

My traumas were so severe I blocked out many events that happened for DECADES. But I healed, anyway. I am not sure what made me start remembering, which was the first step to getting past all that, but I think it had to do with being sure that somewhere in the beginning I had started as a wondrous being, as I believe we ALL did. When I got in touch with the few HAPPY moments I had experienced I began to heal.

Okay, well I have a few more habits.

Like one person said, I scratch myself in public too. I don't care where, I'll scratch wherever it is.
I don't know about scratching (see I DON"T know EVERYTHING!!!!)
Sometimes I scratch when I think someone really doesn't know what they are talking about and I don't feel like saying something mean.
Now that's a little weird, but it's not a problem, I don't think.
Just my own personal physical shorthand for "you're full of crap"

Another habit... If I'm outside and it gets windy or very cloudy, I tend to think of tornadoes automatically and get scared even though tornadoes can't strike West Virginia where we have the high mountains. So... If it's windy, I MUST be at a computer and I MUST be inside with someone else inside with me.

that's a HEALTHY fear. Some people go out to look at dangerous things and then get shocked when something bad happens to them. Now does that make you paranoid or does it make them naive?

I also have the habit of eating a lot. I just like to eat. ^-^ I'm not going to get fat or anything and I could use a little more weight since I'm at about 80 pounds.

That's the only thing you've said so far that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I EAT A LOT and I AM SKINNY don't go together. Have you researched Anorexia and Bulemia? It's not a label, it might help you to see you're not there yet.

Have you ever heard of an OLD movie called PSYCHO? In it a guy stabs a woman who is taking a shower. (I hope I haven't made things worse! It's a horror flick, NOT a documentary!) That scared me into your behaviour for YEARS! Finally I got tired of being scared of unlikely things happening and taught myself to get in a shower and not look around. I had to force myself to do it and practice it a lot.

As far as ghosts and demons, water , especially running water, is supposedly one of the most cleansing things you can do. A shower is one of the least likely places for them to show up.!

shirt-sucking: I loved the feel of the air bubbles going through the fabric on my tongue.

I love the taste of blood. Only when it happens naturally, like a loose tooth or something, but I just love the copper flavor. Should I be afraid I'm going to turn into a vampire or something? Nah. But there IS a small part of me that enjoys accidental small injuries so I can (quick while nobody's looking!) sneek a tiny taste.

I CAN"T STAND biting my nails. I hate the feel of when you succeed in biting through the nail and your teeth click together. EEEEE!

I become sarcastic when I am a combination of stressed and angry, and I stay sarcastic until I calm down. Sometimes that takes a while

Lots of silly food habits: DON'T YOU DARE mix my peas and potatoes and meat. Not even have them touch! I don't INSIST on it anymore but when I cook for myself I do it just how I like it. I eat the crust around the edges of a sandwich and then eat the rest of the sandwich. (Mom wouldn't let us cut the crust off DON"T WASTE FOOD so this is my way around it.
